This webinar will include an excerpt from research conducted by Ralph Rio, ARC Advisory Group Research Director, about the impact of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) on proactive maintenance practices. Following ARC, Eric Liret from the EDF Group will explain how the utility is leveraging predictive analytics to reduce equipment failures, increase reliability and improve performance.

Speakers
Eric Liret studied in High Engineer School for Physics and Thermodynamics of Energy processes. At University, Mr. Liret also studied mathematics, focused on statistics and probability. Eric joined EDF (French Electricity Company) in 2001. After 7 years spent in R&D department where he worked in projects for power plants operation improvement, in 2009 he entered in Thermal Engineering Center in Paris La Défense, where he is in charge of support, improvement of methods and services for EDF remote monitoring center for fossil-fired power plants. Liret has been using Avantis PRiSM Software for over 6 years.

Ralph Rio's focus areas at ARC Advisory Group include Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), and Field Service Management (FSM). His experience includes managing engineering functions in manufacturing which included a 3 shift maintenance team and a tool room. He has researched and written well over one hundred reports including the Best Practices for Maintenance Management and the Enterprise Asset Management and Field Service Management Worldwide Outlook Study.

Experience: Ralph has 40+ years’ experience with manufacturing applications. He has been with ARC Advisory Group since 2000, and his previous roles with General Electric, Intellution/Emerson, Digital Equipment Corp., Motorola, and Texas Instruments include marketing and product management for suppliers, as well as engineering-in-manufacturing functions for end-users.

Education: Ralph holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.S. in Management Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY

Kim Custeau has 28 years of experience in industrial Asset Management software and services. When Invensys was acquired by Schneider Electric in 2014, Kim took on the role of director of asset management solutions. She is responsible for the strategic direction, commercialization and development of the Avantis and Mobility offering globally, a solution that is designed to help customers maximize asset reliability and performance. Prior to Invensys, now Schneider Electric, Kim was responsible for marketing and product management for Marcam. This role enabled activities with clients in a cross section of industries and geographies. She graduated with a degree in Business from Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario.

    ¿No te salen las cuentas en la nube?

    La nube tiene importantes ventajas: ahorros de costes, facilidad para trabajar en equipos remotos, menor necesidad de administración de la infraestructura, mejoras de seguridad, etc. Sin embargo, al comentar con algunos clientes la posibilidad de migrar las licencias de Atlassian a cloud, me comentaron que habían hecho alguna experiencia de migración y no le salían tan bien las cuentas.
